We are having an official ribbon-cutting ceremony tomorrow night, December 15, at our usual meeting time and place. Come on out if you'd like to join us in this photo and networking opportunity. A general club meeting will follow, guests are welcomed!

On Saturday December 5, 2009 the Active 20-30 Club #36 brought Christmas cheer to 20 local children. With the assistance of other local Active 20-30 Clubs, Hangtown #43 and Greater Sacramento #1032, and community volunteers, 20 children were treated to almost $200 worth of presents. Children from the ages of five to 17 were allowed to purchase clothing items and one special toy, CD, or book to make their holidays a little more special. Target Stores also provided each child a gift card, a specially created gift bag, and breakfast. A special thanks to Target Stores and our volunteers for making this event possible.

Last week Roseville/South-Placer #36 members delivered ready-to-cook, complete Thanksgiving dinners to four Placer County families. Thanks to all who participated! See our Facebook page for photos (which should be posted soon)

Additionally, this weekend we will be taking several children in need Christmas shopping. Past, present, and potential club members, please contact us if you are interested in participating- this is the kind of fulfilling, direct-action event that our club does so well!

The club had a great time this weekend participating in Folsom Club's Spikes for Bikes Volleyball Tournament. We went 4 wins, 5 losses in the preliminary round, and despite our #1 seed in the consolation bracket, we were eliminated in the first round of play-offs. Next year we're coming back for that gift basket! Thanks for all those who came out to play and cheer, and to Folsom #77 for hosting such a fun event. We'll upload/link to pictures as soon as they go up.

Thanks to those of you who came out for the info/recruitment night on Thursday, we hope to see you at our meeting on Sept 1. For those of you who couldn't make it, feel free to come to a meeting or keep an eye out for other upcoming events on the calendar. Auburn 20-30 #19 is holding a brewfest this Saturday at the Gold Country Fairground with over 15 breweries! Tickets are $25 in advance (must be purchased by Friday at 6pm) or $30 at the door and include a commemorative mug and all you can drink beer! Thanks to the many, many guests who came to our installation dinner tonight! Hopefully we'll have some pics of Amarik's "Photo Scavenger Hunt" to post soon.

The bell will officially change hands (after Amarik earns it, of course!) and other new officers will be installed on Thursday, July 9th at Coach's Sports Bar. Please note this dinner is going to replace our usual Tuesday meeting. More details on our calendar and facebook.

After about a week of battling with DNS records and webservers, our new site has officially gone live! Accessing via http://www.rose-2030.org should now work and members should be able to start using their @rose-2030.org email addresses.

After years of falling by the wayside, our site is back up and running and hopefully should see more updates. This page will be used to post updates to the site, things going on, etc. Check the calendar and meetings links at the left for upcoming events and minutes from recent meetings.
